Meet Our Executive Director: Elizabeth Lovejoy Brown

The Picotte Center is proud to welcome Elizabeth "Liz" Lovejoy Brown as our new Executive Director.

A distinguished member of the Inkesabe Clan of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, Liz holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa and brings 17 years of experience in social work, financial and grant management, and non-profit leadership. Her expertise in tribal finance, grant management, and advocacy for Native American youth aligns perfectly with our mission.

Liz shares, “I’ve admired Susan La Flesche Picotte since childhood. Her passion to help and provide for our people has been a role model for me. I share the same passion and am committed to making a positive impact in our community.”

Under Liz's leadership, The Picotte Center is poised for a future of resilience, cultural preservation, and community vitality.
